Sehej Maini is a very passionate sports person and is active in different sports since childhood. In school, she used to participate in all events and sports-related activities. Moreover, she appeared as a professional swimmer at the national level.

Among five contestants from India, only Sehej Maini managed to get a bronze medal at the National Level. Along with a professional career in powerlifting, she also started getting training in weightlifting and wants to represent India in the Olympics.
Sehej Maini MTV Roadies
Athlete Sehej Maini became a part of the popular reality show MTV Roadies Revolution hosted by Ranvijay Singh and premiered on MTV. She got passed at the initial audition and then got call for the personal round conducted by Neha Dhupia, Nikhil Chinapam, Prince Narula and Raftaar.
In PI, she entered the room and gave brief about her journey till national championship. She also explained the difference between Power-lifting and Weightlifting. Next judges asked her to complete 50 back squats and she did it.
Sehej impressed all the judges and got green signals from Prince Narula, Neha Dhupia and Raftaar. Thus, she became a part of roadies revolution journey. Later, reports said that she couldn’t be a part of the further journey as she went to represent India in Power-lifting Championship held in Sri Lanka.

Sehej received a letter for the national championship after he having a breakup with coach (boyfriend). She almost refused to go to the championship and later her friends & family convinced her.
She went to World Classic Powerlifting Championship without a coach. Moreover, her former coach was also there with another client. However, she was the only who returned to India with a medal.
