Diya Kumari was born into the royal family of Rajasthan. She did her schooling from the Modern School (New Delhi), G.D. Somani Memorial School (Mumbai) and Maharani Gayatri Devi Girl’s Public School Jaipur. After schooling, Princess went to London and did a decorative arts course from there.
Currently, Diya Kumari manages the family heritage which includes the city palace Jaipur (her royal residence), Amber and two trusts: Maharaja Swami Mansingh II Museum Trust, Jaipur and the Jaigarh Public Charitable Trust. Apart from trusts, She also manages two schools, The Palace School and Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School.

Diya Kumari was born on 30 January 1971 (age 48 years old; as in 2019). She belongs to the royal family of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Diya was born to last Maharaja of Jaipur, Sawai Bhawani Singh and Maharani Padmini Devi. She is very close to her parents. Her maternal grandparents were the Maharaja and Maharani of the Sirmour. Princess Diya learned at a young age about the Jaipur royal family’s sense of commitment as a custodian’s of their inheritance and duty to the country. Princess follows Hinduism and holds Indian nationality.
Diya was married to Narendra Singh Rajawat in 1994. Diya Kumari met him the first time when she was 18 years old. He joined the SMS museum trust for work experience. They got married without informing their parents in Arya Samaj Temple in 1994. After two years, She revealed her relationship in front of his parents. Her father got furious but later accepted her decision. So after that, marriage and reception took place in August 1997. After 21 years of marriage, Rajasthan princess got divorced with her husband.
Princess Diya Kumari has three children. The eldest son Padmanabh Singh is the present Maharaja of the Jaypur. He adopted as heir to the throne of Jaipur by his grandfather. She has a younger daughter Princess Gauravi Kumari and younger son Lakshraj Prakash who is Maharaja of Sirmur.
Princess Diya Kumari has completed her primary education from India. After that, She did graduation from abroad. Currently, She manages royal palace, museums and other assets of the royal family.
